HI there,
I am looking to find anyone in Caltanessetta, Sicily that may know our family.
Biagio Giuseppe Dell’Utri,
Joseph was born March 14, 1896 in Caltanessetta, Sicily. He was born with an extra thumb which he had removed when an adult and father. He was in the middle of nine children. Three brothers and a sister who were older, and three sisters and a brother who were younger. As of July 10, 1974 all four brothers, and two sisters had passed away. His sister Lucia was still living in Caltanissetta, Sicily and the other sister Angelina was living in Buenos Aires, Argentina,
His family was raised as Roman Catholics and lived on a small farm. When Joseph was ten years old the family moved to a better place that was closer to a public school. Joseph walked to this school for three years. His Teacher “Miss Baroni” was a Christian Protestant and impressed him with her religious zeal.
